1 blood donation can save up to 3 lives.
Another blood drive?
Yes! There is a constant need for blood of various types in our community, so we periodically host blood drives to make it convenient for folks to donate. That’s why on Monday Dec 10, a mobile donation unit from Community Bood Center of the Carolinas will be stationed in our parking lot from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We are welcoming folks from nearby businesses, our patients of age and their family members, as well as anyone for whom this option would be convenient. The good news is that if we fill up all of our donation slots, they’ll provide us with a much larger mobile unit next year so that we can help even more folks! Donating blood saves lives!
CBCC: who they are and what they do:
As a unique, hybrid provider of health care services for the community, Community Bood Center of the Carolinas collects, tests and distributes essential, lifesaving blood to nearly 90 hospitals in the region. They also conduct valuable research in the various aspects of blood collection, storage, delivery, and care of hemophiliacs. You can read more about the research here.
Would you like to participate in the blood drive?
If so, we have a sign-up sheet in the office, as we’re scheduling donations so that folks don’t have to waste time in line. Please stop by the office or call us at 704-821-5009 and we’ll be happy to reserve a donation time for you. The usual juice and cookies will be provided for the donors.
